YOUTH ADVOCACY LEAGUE

YOUTH CREATING CHANGE IN THEIR COMMUNITIES

OUR WORK

Our impact started in Pittsburgh and has effected communities on a global scale. Projects addressing the "isms" (sexism, racism, gender inequality), LGBQTA rights, and trauma in the veteran population. We have engages over 6,000 youth in the past 10 years in social justice through projects, conferences, and after school groups.

ABOUT US

Our journey began in 1987, when high school counselor Gregg Dietz noticed a dramatic decline in youth engagement in the community. The Youth Advocacy League is a youth led social justice organization working to change our communities. YAL is the umbrella organization encompassing smaller programs aimed at getting youth involved with advocacy.
